I was perusing ebay looking for Tolkien goodies and came across this: http://www.ebay.com/...id=p3984.m1423.l2649 Now, I know similar coins have been minted for the Hobbit - in fact I was lucky enough to win one in a contest/giveaway hosted here on TORN. It was a silver coin with Bilbo on it made to commemorate AUJ. Can anyone confirm New Zealand had a similar commemoration of LOTR, ROTK, etc? I guess my question is, is this coin an official New Zealand thing or just a commercial item? If anyone could find me any background info about this coin, that would be much appreciated. Frogmorton

but I can't see a version of the one you have linked to. There's a set of six that depict iconic movie scenes, none of which are of the Grey Havens, and the rest appear to be renditions of the film characters. http://coins.nzpost.co.nz/node/2968 If the coin you have linked to is genuine, it's not listed on NZ Mint's website.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.
