or does a 'shell' of flame around the Eye in that lower picture look like a holographic fiery version of the writing on the Ring? If so, awesome detail to include!

We should compare same images from the first trailer and the second one to see the changes in color correction, color grading (Dale, Azog, ...).

(Not trying to steal your thunder, tarasaurus, but I've been asked to keep frame capture posts consolidated rather than starting new threads.)
I have just added 68 images from the new trailer to framecaplib. The new ones start at no. 188 in section "The Hobbit: Trailers".
