MSN Movies UK also confirmed that the new trailer will be up tomorrow [In reply to] Can't Post

Quote

Here's your first glimpse of the cobwebs and attendant unpleasantness which faces Bilbo and his bunch in the second Hobbit movie, where Bilbo will encounter the fearsome Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).
There won't be long to wait for an idea of how the second film in the trilogy will look, as the trailer will be released on Tuesday 1 October. All you have to do now is count the hours until the film's released on - and this may be bad news for Bilbo - Friday 13 December.

Somebody needs to ban photoshop in their marketing department. [In reply to] Can't Post

I think I've complained about awful photoshopping in nearly every poster that has been released. Unsure That shot of Legolas and Tauriel a while back was so natural - I'd rather that, than something so heavily photoshopped and awkward looking. Yes, I'm moaning. It's rare. Wink

At least creepy Bilbo hasn't made an appearance this year.

Blue? What is this, a sequel to Underworld? [In reply to] Can't Post

LaughLaughLaugh
It's OK but why blue?

It's funny how they always make Kili feature big on posters, yet he was barely in AUJ. If they think that's going to bring in Twilight fans they should actually give him something to do. This is becoming fairly ridiculous. He seems to have as big importance as Thorin, and we know very well that, with all the new characters that they are introducing into the story, that just won't happen. So more bait and switch. Just give in. Thorin's popular enough, Hollywood is currently trying to make Luke Evans happen as the leading man, Legolas is back and Thranduil looks like billion bucks (and Lee Pace will be getting tons of attention for Guardians of the Galaxy). They really don't need to play this game with Kili.

It isn't worse than 10000+ posters that look similar [In reply to] Can't Post

I mean, that's a kind of poster fantasy movies release all the time. I really don't expect something inventive nor there should be some artistic extravaganza that wows with creativity but forgets to sell a movie (Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's controversial poster comes to mind). It's a decent poster. Giving Kili so much space only for his pretty face aside, it teases us with spider lair and promises action which is a step up from the Muppet Dwarf poster for AUJ.

Not sure what some are expecting.

There is exactly one comment directly saying the banner looks bad. [In reply to] Can't Post

All the others are either "lack of Smaug" comments or general TH-negativity comments.
