Zombie Smaug will actually be pretty cool. [In reply to] Can't Post

What if Zombie Smaug looks like the Frost Wurm from Warcraft 3: http://www.wowwiki.com/Frost_wyrm

BUT, my specuation was that the Necromencer wanted Azog to stop Thorin from reaching the Lonely Mountain because he does not want Thorin to kill Smaug since the Necromencer wants Smaug all for himself. If the Necromencer can indeed raise Smaug from the dead, then why does he care about Thorin?

Hssh! The ones we laugh most at will be the ones to become canon! [In reply to] Can't Post

Sauron reviving Smaug via necromancy was pretty out there though.

I think Tauriel might die [In reply to] Can't Post

Maybe in the battle of three armies (between only the dwarves, elves, and men), if they make that into an actual battle scene. In the book it was just something that almost happened, but as others have said, I bet with the direction these films are going that we will have another battle, however brief, known as the BOTA (Battle of Three Armies). Perhaps Tauriel will die there. Imho, that would be very sad and work pretty well.

That's only if they want to make her die for some reason, though. There's no need to but I just really don't want her dying with the canonical main characters. I hope you're right that she won't.

That's not bad [In reply to] Can't Post

since in the book The black arrow was Erebor made anyway, poetic justice Smaug is killed by an arrow made from the very same people he attacked and made homeless.

Bard never said definitively that the arrow came from Erebor [In reply to] Can't Post

It seems to be a legend in Bard's family that the black arrow came from under Lonely Mountain, but the story is never confirmed.
