Not the image of Beorn from the calendar. For those interested, or can read Spanish, all the scans are:

It isn't from these films [In reply to] Can't Post

I don't know what other project it's from, but it doesn't resemble the official pic we've seen at all.

I'm saying this before people come on saying "He looks pathetic". Be sensible - this isn't Persbrandt as Beorn. Note there are no new photos in this article. It's obviously from another film altogether.

Here we go, I found it online: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-desplmTwpCU/T9o77AGe8zI/AAAAAAAACYo/0ma57dx_wJE/s1600/Beorn.jpg

Argh [In reply to] Can't Post

Ahhh, there you go.

I apologise, hopefully the heading doesn't influence people.

My theory, that he also 'shape-shifted' human bodies, is doomed.

Scared me! [In reply to] Can't Post

Good to know it's from a different role, rather than Beorn as he will appear in the movie. I almost freaked out about him not having a beard, but of course once you look closely it doesn't look like the calendar photo at all. Laugh

Funny how [In reply to] Can't Post

some writers incompetence or a few mistakes in the reporting of a films plot and characters can create such humourous situations? Wink

It's from Swedish movie "Tre solar" (Three Suns) [In reply to] Can't Post

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m_fQcX8tds

You can see Persbrandt at 2:37 in this clip (not a very appropriate scene for a family friendly board, perhaps...). It was a serious attempt at making a gritty movie set in the Middle Ages, but is commonly regarded as one of the biggest flops in Swedish film history.

Now now Bill, you swore this was a battle between warriors, not a bunch of miss nancies, so warriors is what I brought

And look who's on the cover AGAIN! [In reply to] Can't Post

Bilbo, Thorin, Thranduil, Gandalf any of those would have been preferable and more relevant, whether in combination or on their own. (I would say also Beorn and Smaug, but don't want any spoilers of them, thank you.)
