Beren and Luthien Short Film

Beren and Luthien Short Film Can't Post

I have seen a short film on Youtube loosely based on the tale of Beren and Luthien, but not once quite so loyal to the source material as this one. Has anyone seen this new short film?

Judging by the comments translated from French, it seems that the crew is considering following up with a sequel, but the idea of having to create werewolves, dragons, the Elven kingdom and Morgoth (Angand, the Silmaril, etc), they have yet to continue. But I think it'd be awesome if they did so!

I also rather like the inclusion of the Ring of Barahir, which of course is from the story, but the ring in this film is evidently a replica from the one seen in Jackson's films. So I like that continuity; it adds a cinematic feel to the film. The only thing I would nitpick is the pacing of the fight sequences, but that's if I had to nitpick, and I do not. Granted, we do not see Luthien dancing in the woods, and that was a fairly iconic scene as it was something quite personal for Tolkien, but I understand why they did what they did.

Thoughts, folks?
