Which country has the best Extended edition box art? Can't Post

I like the UK dvd one, even if it doesn't seem to be in the same kind of material than the LOTR box sets

uk one can be seen here

I like the one that [In reply to] Can't Post

Agree [In reply to] Can't Post

I was really relieved when I discovered Amazon UK had posted that box set with that particular artwork. Although not exactly the same as the LOTR SEE, it is definitely along the same lines with the plain, textured background.

It shall blend well with the LOTR Trilogy Smile

Personally [In reply to] Can't Post

I think the DVD edition for the US with the company on the Carrock is so great that it doesn't matter that it isn't the same as the LOTR ones. The real test will be the unboxing. The fact that the Japanese one has such a beautiful cover and such an ugly inside case (and that the UK one looks like it might be similar or even worse judging by the clear line around the brown casing) makes me a lot less jealous for now. The Japanese Blu and the UK DVD [In reply to] Can't Post

I hope there are more alternatives of the sort.

I'm in the UK, I'm a huge fan of Blu-Rays and even have a 3D TV... [In reply to] Can't Post

But I'm very tempted to buy the DVD just so it'll look nice in my collection. Looks like I'm gonna buy both

WB Wins!

But I'm a little concerned as it doesn't look like we're getting the statue over here :( There was a mention of a "trunk edition" at one point but that seems to have gone.

So I'm a little stuck on what to do now.

I can't believe the UK market is being treated differently over this... Frown

I like the UK steel book best [In reply to] Can't Post

Followed by the UK DVD. I hope it unfolds like the LOTR DVD packaging did. That was a lovely design job.

I will probably get both.

Don't think so... [In reply to] Can't Post

If you look at the angled picture, it looks like it's just going to be in a standard DVD case Frown

Thank you – I may give it a miss, then, and just go for the steelbook. [In reply to] Can't Post

Don't be jealous, it's not as good as it looks. [In reply to] Can't Post

As I said below, from the angle shot you can see it's a standard DVD case. So it's nice, but not as good as it initially looks

Ah [In reply to] Can't Post

Yeah, that's probably a little less cool. I just don't know why they didn't use that design period.
