A Special Thanks to Peter Jackson and his Crew for The Hobbit Can't Post

Yesterday was the last day of principal photography for The Hobbit films. Peter Jackson live blogged the event, and earlier today we asked fans to send us videos of their thanks to PJ and the entire Crew. The response was overwhelming! (in fact, we will have a Part II video posted later) Enjoy!

I couldn't really identify anybody- but the lady who won tickets for the AUJ premiere- her story sounded familiar. There was a guy from Sweden- could that be MacFalk ??

Your tapestry is stunning [In reply to] Can't Post

Your Silmarillion tapestry is stunning Kelvarhin. It must have taken you a long time, and been a lot of work.

I love embroidery myself, have often considered a Tolkien themed piece, but at the moment I've been distracted onto a knitting project. I think I may have too many hobbies, tbh. Laugh

Followed by that awkwarder moment when you realize that you think this is awesome...

Your tapestry is just beautiful, wow! AngelicHeart Do you have it hanging up somewhere?

Thanks to everyone who sent videos and for Justin and everyone for putting it all together! Its only the end of filming, (a big deal to them, not so much to us fans) but it feels like such a milestone doesn't it?

You are right! ;) [In reply to] Can't Post

It's a mee!

" Why, O people of Noldor! Fanor cried. Why should we longer serve the jealous Valar, who cannot keep us nor even their own realm secure from their enemy? And though he be now their foe, are not they and he of one kin? Vengence calls me hence, but even were it otherwise I would not dwell longer in the same land with the kin of my father's slayer and of the thief of treasure. Yet i am not the only valiant in this valiant people. And have ye not all lost your King? And what else have ye not lost, cooped here in a narrow land between the mountains and the sea? Here once was light, that the Valar begrudged to middle-earth, but now dark levels all. Shall we mourn here deedless forever, a shadow-folk, mist-haunting, dropping vain tears in the thankless sea? Or shall we return to our home? In cuivinen sweet ran the waters under uncloaded stars, and wide lands lay about, where a free people might walk. There they lie still and await us who in out folly forsook them. Come away! Let the cowards keep this city!"

It took almost exactly 6 months, from the first drawing to the last stitch.

My latest project is probably going to take about a year... I really am a glutton for punishment... CrazyLaugh
