The Cottage of Lost Play vs Rivdendell Can't Post

Where woud you rather spend a relaxing weekend?

The Cottage wins for me hands down, not only do I love the chapters in BOLT, the atomsphere of ancient wisdom, magic and mystery comes across as much more memorable than Rivendell to me, it would be cool to me Eriol and wander around an elvish Isle.

I tower above the Gnomes of Kor making it quite easy I imagine to order my lunch as well...

The Talking Purse is Awesome, deal with it.

But he isn't quite as aweome as Cirdan.

I have to go with Rivendell [In reply to] Can't Post

Not only am I familiar with it, but Elrond lives there, and poor forsaken Glorfindel! And it's down in a valley. I like valleys.

Sorry, COLP. [In reply to] Can't Post

Rivendell it is for me. I would really, really like to see Elrond's library. In fact, that may be the only thing I do there. Whoever is traveling with me will have to drag me out when they want to go to our next stop in our Middle-earth tour. (Next stop: One Can Simply Walk Into Mordor, along with: Percussion Lessions In Moria, Gardening Organically In The Shire, and Grey Havens Boat Rides.)

Crazy Sorry for that nonsense. I swear, I haven't had any chocolate lately.

"I had forgotten that. It is hard to be sure of anything among so many marvels. The world is all grown strange. Elf and Dwarf in company walk in our daily fields; and folk speak with the Lady of the Wood and yet live; and the Sword comes back to war that was broken in the long ages ere the fathers of our fathers rode into the Mark! How shall a man judge what to do in such times?"

"As he ever has judged. Good and ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves and another among Men. It is a man's part to discern them, as much in the Golden Wood as in his own house."

It has to be the Cottage of Lost Play for me [In reply to] Can't Post

I love Rivendell and it's general atmosphere, but if I had to choose, the Cottage of Lost Play wins over.

As you stated malickfan, it has something special about it - the wisdom, the peace and just the general qualities of a proper earthly paradise ...Angelic
