I'll never look at the troll scene in the same way again. The spam, 'tis gone.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. I was so hoping to see those trolls in their fashionable bikinis, possibly in a becoming shade of pink. It will just have to remain a dream.

''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. Yes, you put the Cheetos between the slices of bread. Crunchy sandwich!
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

The son out of desperation due to hunger late in the day at school once, for a pre-cross-country race 'meal' last year, had a bunch of Cheetos and actually had a stellar race. Wonders never cease.

By going with spam, you've already thrown the health food idea out the window. Notta

(sigh) I am not sure when the last time I had white bread was! Has to be measured in years I think!!!!! My son loves the country white. I go by saying lalalalala and pretend not to see the package. The recent favorite is peanut butter and nutella (which I will splurge on at times and have on one slice of wheat. Yummy.) Childhood fave for me was German bologna, mayo on Wonder bread. Sweet pickles on the side (potato chips in the pickle juice.)

prefers 'potato bread' which is really just plain old, what we used to call 'balloon bread,' with a tidge more taste to it. So when the craving for quick, mood-altering food, strikes me... I have some at hand. I only buy Braunschweiger when I'm shopping really hungry. I want to eat and I want to eat now and somehow that Braunschweiger (or liverwurst) just calls out to me. I can't wait to get home and make a sandwich of it. I took to putting chips on sandwiches (back when balloon bread was all any mother bought) to keep the bread from sticking to the roof of my mouth so bad. And I just want to say that not all potato bread is balloon bread. We used to buy the most scrumptious potato bread at Sarkosy Bakery in Kalamazoo.
