No problem! [In reply to] Can't Post

One thing I've noticed that happens with everyone. The message boards don't like special characters, so even though you spelled Eomer correctly with the accent mark, it comes out very garbled. So if you can avoid the special characters over the letters, that's one less clean-up to do.

Great interview!

a way to clean up the text [In reply to] Can't Post

is --- before you post it -- to cut and paste it into a simple word app like notepad. that will strip out any extraneous markup.

then, post to forum.

cheers (and thanks for the great interview : ) ) --

aka. fili orc-enshield
+++++++++++++++++++
the scene, as i understand it, is exceptionally well-written. fili (in sort of a callback to the scene with the eagles), calls out "thorRIIIIIIN!!!" just as he sees the pale orc veer in for the kill. he picks up the severed arm of an orc which is lying on the ground, swings it up in desperation, effectively blocking the pale orc's blow. and thus, forever after, fili is known as "fili orc-enshield."

this earns him deep respect from his hard-to-please uncle. as well as a hug. kili wipes his boots on the pale orc's glory box. -- maciliel telpemairo

The WordPress software posts it here [In reply to] Can't Post

it's just a box you tick when you post for the HomePage.

Kel isn't actually coming here to create the posts on the boards. The software is doing it for her.

As Magpie said [In reply to] Can't Post

we don't physically post the "News from Bree" posts on the boards, they're directed to them by a check box in Wordpress when we post things to the Frontpage. There's a bit of a glitch/conflict between the two softwares which causes our Frontpage posts to get covered in gobble-de-gook. We can't edit them, so we have to ask one of our lovely Admins to do it for us.

And thanks about the interview, I really enjoyed doing it, Fili and Kili are a delight Smile

Happiness: money matters, but less than we think and not in the way that we think. Family is important and so are friends, while envy is toxic -- and so is excessive thinking. Beaches are optional. Trust is not. Neither is gratitude. - The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner as summarized by Lily Fairbairn. And a bit of the Hobbit reading thrown in never hurts. - NottaSackville

Another NfB request [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks to entmaiden for cleaning it's mucky face, but could one of you also fix the broken link at the bottom please?

It should be http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2008/06/14/29016-clearing-up-misconceptions-regarding-the-tolkien-vs-new-line-lawsuit/

Also, the title of Voronwë's book Arda Reconstructed: The Creation of the Published Silmarillion should have a link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1611460891/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1611460891&linkCode=as2&tag=theoneringnet
