Best AUJ screenshots Can't Post

AUJ has some truly epic shots so I'm posting a few of my favourites. Does anyone want to post their own?

To appreciate pics like these even more just imagine if you could've somehow seen them back in 2010 or sometime before you'd seen any official hobbit movie info, even before the first vlog...

Am I even allowed to post images from the movie?

Amazing

Beautiful! [In reply to] Can't Post

There's something mesmerizing about the colour palette of the film. There's so much vibrancy and lighting tones in every shot - that just makes the characters and settings stand out so much more.

Stunning Selection [In reply to] Can't Post

I really enjoyed looking at these. As I was scrolling through the one of Radagast's house really stood out- it looks so magical!

I also agree with Arandir about the colour palette. I think it's beautiful and adds an enchanting tone to the film.

Yes. beautiful, and thanks to both lurtz and Dweller [In reply to] Can't Post

All of those screencaps are very well chosen.

Dweller, I notice that you had to include your shot of Tauriel Wink. Not that I object - I am fine with the idea and what we've seen so far of Tauriel and have high hopes that she will enhance the movie.

lurtz2010: lovely screen caps thank you! [In reply to] Can't Post

Like other people have pointed out, the colours are gorgeous. The final two especially are quite haunting, the Shire one really pretty. Makes me appreciate how much visual contrast there is between the different scenes in the film.

Here's how... [In reply to] Can't Post

...but if I tell you, you have to be nice to Tauriel for one week....Wink

1. Use your video player program to do a screen capture. I use GOM Player.

2. Open the saved screen capture file with your favorite graphics program. Any program will do, because we're just going to resize the picture.

3. Resize the width of the picture to 525 pixels. Keep the aspect ratio. This will usually be the default option.

4. Save the resized file as a .jpg file.

5. When you post, upload all the pictures you want as inline pictures (the FAQ specifies how to do this). File size should be no problem.

6. When writing your message, insert the pictures where you want by clicking the little picture icon on the toolbar, and checking the "inline" button in the dialog box that pops up. You can then choose which of your inline pictures to insert from a list.

7. Voila! That's all there is to it.

Regards, DiD

Don't mess with my favorite female elf.

They really are quite amazing [In reply to] Can't Post

There will be Hobbit Calendars forever after these films. There are so many good shots, and I quite agree about the creative use of the colors to subliminally tell the story of what you're looking at. You can apply adjectives to each of your screencaps quite easily.

Has someone done a SCOD for The Hobbit yet?

yes the colours [In reply to] Can't Post

I find it strange when people talk negative about the colour grading because to me it gives the movie that epic fairy tale look which is perfect for it. LOTR colours were good too and judging from the DOS trailer they'te done those environments perfectly.

Did you check out the link I posted? [In reply to] Can't Post

I guess your using basic editor, rather than advanced editor.

Try this:
1) Click "choose file" and click on file required.
2) Check "Inline" and press "upload attachment"
3) Type in post box: {inline file_name.gif}, replacing { }

Crossing your fingers, it should work ...

Magpie is your lady, otherwise.

Regarding this suggestion : do u mean i should replace "name" with the name of the file?, which is a jpg

Or should i just add that sentence in the post box after i have attached all the images?

Let's say you have 3 files... [In reply to] Can't Post

Called arwen.jpg, frodo.jpg and bilbo.jpg.

1) Click "choose file" and click on file required.

Do this for each file.

2) Check "Inline" and press "upload attachment"

Do this for each file. Make sure "Inline" is still checked for all 3 files after pressing upload, otherwise it will not work.

3) Type in post box:

{inline arwen.jpg}
{inline frodo.jpg}
{inline bilbo.jpg}

Again, replacing curly brackets with square brackets.

I hope this works. Crazy
