300 Rise of An Empire trailer Can't Post

The trailer looks good, lots of over the top action, setting aside historical accuracy of course. It kind of reminds me of the differences of opinion with PJ's adaptations...total accuracy vs his vision based on the story. Zach Snyder has a similar approach, but with more ramped up visual effects and plot change ideas than a true to history approach would demand.

For a movie like this, I look to be entertained. It will cause many to actually read the history again or for the first time. I think the same is true of The Hobbit and LOTR. The movies brought new readers.

I would care less about historical accuracy [In reply to] Can't Post

if I thought 300 was actually a good movie. Buy you are right about the bringing in new readers thing.

My Sam Gamgee is indeed a reflexion of the English soldier, of the privates and batmen I knew in the 1914 war, and recognized as so far superior to myself- J.R.R. Tolkien
