Thranduil's Halls Can't Post

In TTT Gimli mentions that dwarves originally helped make Thranduil's halls. Do you think we will see any dwarvish influences in this location for the movie? I imagine that the halls would have been made a long time ago (I know very little of the history). The elves would probably have 'styled' it completely in their manner. Any chance of some sparkling gems in the walls? Based off the trailer, the only similarity I can see to anything remotely dwarvish is the presence of narrow bridges spanning cavernous drops without railings (but maybe this is a common feature in underground halls Laugh). Just a fun thought.
