It's actually amazing that the much overplayed Skyfall would be almost appropriate with just a few word changes.

So far the only singers they've used whose names I known have been Enya and Annie Lennox. And surely it will depend very much on the song and which character or characters it relates to.

I thought the last one was way too modern sounding.

Or at least rooted in contemporary styles, so it took me out of the film - although of course I was leaving anyway, as the film had finished! Annie Lennox's song was even worse - almost a modern rock ballad. So, I'd be hoping for something more in line with the first two films. Anyway, these chaps are pretty good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7ch7uottHU

But for TABA I would love it if Martin Freeman sang the song. That would be awesomesauce.

He has the chops to do it. If you havent heard him sing "One Love" look it up on youtube. I think he would be terrific.

I think they could write a song that definitely would appeal to most people no doubt.

and since he was in some New Wave bands of the 80s, I'm going with other artists who were also in the New Wave genre. Nik Kershaw or Phil Oakey of Human League I think would do good vocals. Maybe even the guy from the Thompson Twins. (I can't remember his name.)

http://www.reverbnation.com/bonniejoanegbert Official notice of personal bias: she's my sister. (Doesn't matter, listen to her sing!) She also has an awesome song about conquering one's fears and our "dragons" that she wrote many years ago, but unfortunately she didn't post it on that website. And unfortunately there's likely zero chance of anyone in charge of the soundtrack finding out about her.
