which song would best suite bilbo finding the ring? Can't Post

I was often thinking this. I knew they had to make it something we knew from lotr, and what they did with the song of the opening title seguence of the trilogy, was just fine.
but what about this song instead when he found it?

I believe it would have been much darker, and showed the eeriness of the ring.

I get what you're saying.. [In reply to] Can't Post

but at this stage in the story, we are not supposed to "know" that there is anything particularly dark or evil about the ring. It is just a rather helpful trinket that Bilbo finds. The music that is played here in the film is "The History of the Ring" theme and occurs throughout LOTR whenever the ring changes hands or makes an important step in its journey. Bilbo picking it up is what it signifies here, rather than trying to be eerie. The theme also relates to Gollum's themes, which are played in the Riddles scene, so, to the "uninitiated" this can just be heard as an association to Gollum at this stage. However, IMO the foreshadowing, or not, of LOTR is rather inconsistent throughout AUJ, with some references either over or underplayed. It feels to me that they could not quite decide how much of a prequel and how much of a stand alone trilogy the film makers wanted this to be. Overall though, I feel that the balance in "Riddles" is about right.

The music theme IS the Ring [In reply to] Can't Post

...so the existing music choice is just perfect.

The other Ring motif is the "Seduction by the Ring" theme and also occured in AUJ when Bilbo was tempted to kill Gollum.
