Thanks, Magpie [In reply to] Can't Post

Smile I love knowing what the LOTR songs are actually saying!

Do you know if there are any such sites with translations for the TH:AUJ soundtrack songs? (There are of course the partial ones given in the accompanying booklet.)

The people who did lyrics for LOTR are in a new location, now [In reply to] Can't Post

Gwaith-i-Phethdain were doing lyrics before I was - their interest was in translating the language where my interest was more from the music angle. I continued to update my LOTR lyrics information after they stopped work.

Now they're in a new location and I don't find the blog format to be as easy to search as the old site was. But here are some links I grabbed that will get you started.

http://www.elendilion.pl/category/gwaith/

http://www.elendilion.pl/2012/12/24/g-i-p-report-complete-analysis-of-the-sindarin-dialogs/

http://www.elendilion.pl/2013/01/06/g-i-p-report-hobbits-quenya-orkish-and-khuzdl/

http://www.elendilion.pl/2012/12/20/g-i-p-report-the-hobbit-summary-to-be-continued/

http://www.elendilion.pl/2012/12/11/g-i-p-report-the-hobbit-soundtrack-linguistic-survey/

http://www.elendilion.pl/2013/01/10/g-i-p-report-new-lyrics-from-the-hobbit-soundtrack/

I deliberately left them unclicky so you could read the extensions. If anyone desperately needs them clickly, shout out. For those on computers (rather than mobile devices), most browsers let you highlight a non-clickly link, right click it, and chose "Go to". It works as well as a clicky. Also, triple clicking a line will chose the whole line.

So, triple click the line (so it's highlighted), right click it (to get a context menu), choose: "Go to" (or something similar if your browser phrases it differently)

But where the heck is Scary? Doesn't sound terribly hobbity. Wink

Before kids, exercising with LOTR meant listening to the soundtrack while I ran.

After kids, exercising with LOTR means having an all out dance party with the little ones to the "Break the Dam Release the River" disco mix form the Lego game.

Don't worry about forgetting things... [In reply to] Can't Post

We've all done it. I was once explaining to someone who my favourite elf in LotR was - I paused because I had forgotten Elrond's name!

I'm a respected Mūmak called Tansoronwen according to my username. XD
According to my real name, I'm an Angry Gardner...add my middle name and I'm a Cheerful Vala. Weird but fun.

Like a Middle Earth Sleepy Hollow maybe! Headless Black riders and all...! Finally something to do with all those pumpkins at least. Cool

Manwe, when asked a simple "Yes" or "No" question, contemplated, and responded "the middle one."
