The LotR experience - AUJ BluRay Can't Post

I have said many times on here that when it comes to looks and re-warch feeling, it will only be possible for me to really compare LotR and AUJ when I will see it on my small Laptop.

Not because that is such a great viewing experience... but this is how I watched some scenes of LotR over the last years a million times... those scenes that draw you in without actually watching the whole movie. Like one song from your favaourite album that you do not always want to listen to in full.

Now I finally own the AUJ BluRay... and it is all I hoped it to be when it comes to viewing experiences... it looks just gorgeous (I actually think the BluRay look might be better for the movie than 3D and HFR, although that was great for the viewing experience in the cinema).

I already established some scenes that I do the above mentioned thing with... the goodies from a great album :)

Those scenes at the moment are... the prologue, Misty Mountains, White Council, leaving Bag-End, Riddles, the stand against the wargs (the landscape is gorgeous) Galadriel's reveal, "It is the small things...", wandering through the mountains, the Eagles.

This makes me a happy ringer... since I am finally confirmed that this movie will remain proudly next to my LotR boxes for years and decades to come :)

Just thought I share this... :)

Words of wisdom that should be remembered - both by critics, purists and anyone in between.

Watching all 6 movies after eachother, [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm guessing the emotional impact of seeing Gollum finally get his ring back in ROTK, and seeing Gandalf say goodbye to the Hobbits will become even bigger if you've watched both trilogies after eachother.

I'll probably be so sad when it's over that i'll just watch both trilogies againWink
