Are there any other Sam/Rosie fans on this board? Can't Post

I really love them as a couple and I love their wedding scene in ROTK, they are so cute together IMO. <3 I also like Sam's relationship with Frodo but I picture that as a more brotherly kind of love instead of slash.

edit: My opinion isn't meant to upset anyone, or cause any controversy, if you ship Sam with Frodo I'm okay with that, I'm just wondering if there are any who prefer Sam with Rosie.

Sam is the hero of LOTR [In reply to] Can't Post

but he is a different kind of hero. He is the hero who is the shopkeeper that volunteers for the trenches of WW1. He is the farmer who holds off the Nazis at Tobruck. He is the suffering servant hero whose love for his master is the driving force that give his life meaning. And when his task is done he lays aside his mission and becomes Everyman again. He has a wife and children and a life worth living. That is his gift to the world. And in the end he is rewarded for he can finally go to rest in the company of the great.

They're a very sweet couple, and I love how Sam is thinking of her on the slopes of Mount Doom.

Points to name Smile.

I also love how Sam mentions Rosie at the end of all things.
To me Sam is the hero, because without him, Frodo would never have been able to do what he did.

There are more of us fans of Sam and Rosie. Greatest character in LOTR who had NO lines! (Rosie, that is!) Hear she was a favorite on set as well. They ARE cute together, aren't they?

It's the inn scene [In reply to] Can't Post

I believe she said "goodnight, lad" or something similar after Sam and Frodo have already walked away. Something like that. I'll have to check it out this evening.

You're misunderstanding, I'm talking about the line she said to Sam after he and Frodo leave Bilbo's party in the theatrical version. It's the scene where they walk out.

But I did just check my extended edition, and she says "Goodnight, lads." to Frodo and Sam as they leave the Green Dragon Inn.

and it was lovely that she's actually Astin's daughter. I believe little Frodo is also played by Sarah McLeod's little girl.

I like that scene too. Rosie is the Kelly Kapowski of the hobbits IMO, how she's popular with most everyone in the shire and the prettiest female hobbit in the films. I think it's so adorable how shy Sam acted around her in the Fellowship

Do you think that if someone tried to hurt her he would protect her? I'd say that he would. Of course that's just my personal opinion. Or do you think she could protect herself
