So what's your reply? Angelic *zips own mouth shut on thought that came into head* Angelic

First answer: *censored* Second answer: If he came without an invitation, I might hang up a few more of his things. Explanation or no. And then I'd forgive him, and something about icecream and licking it off of hairy chests. Whipped cream and maraschino cherries are probably involved.

Geez, is that all you girls ever think about? [In reply to] Can't Post

Speed dish washing? *rolls eyes*.

''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III

Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted."

For starters, [In reply to] Can't Post

we don't have a place to hang things up in our hall, so they would end up on the floor. This would immediately elicit a response from Mrs. D about not leaving clothes strewn all over the place, I'm not your maid, why didn't you take your shoes off before tracking mud all over my clean floors, you need a hair cut (and a bath), do you have to breathe, etc. At which point the dwarf would sheepishly look at me and all I could say is " Welcome to my world".

Set out another place at the table. [In reply to] Can't Post

Which is exactly what we did when a friend first brought over Sammy Taylor for Thanksgiving. Sam owned a tailor shop called "Shorty's" over on Eastside. Nice guy. Great tailor.

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”
