** A (rather late) Founder's Day addition. Can't Post

Because of some difficulties, of one sort or another, i would like to share a tribute i did in the original FD happening (for those new here) that went beyond anything i thought i could do with a computer (with help of a dear sib that takes the form of a black and white bird:) ).

And also something i built last year that took many hours lost in count that i wanted to devote to our Founders and our diverse admins too.

It is an arbor that is obviously LOTR's orientated (i am sure you will tell) that has also 5 bright white stars on the top frame. The four represents our founders and the single one below all our admins.

I took much joy in doing these two projects because TORn means more than i can possibly relate. I will just simply say i am grateful that a few very motivated spirits, as Tolkien was i can safely say, created something far beyond the scope of anything ever imagined. But here we sit in the midst of it all Smile.

Thanks for posting it. Gorgeous mix of art and spirit! Angelic

Sil, that's beautiful! [In reply to] Can't Post

I missed your tribute first time around, so I'm glad you shared it again. What a lovely, moving tribute, and I agree with all of it! You and Kel put together a real labor of love with that. Thank you.

And I love the arbor!!! It's gorgeous! I really love the design of the White Tree. Did you do all the woodworking yourself? I'm impressed. I'd love to have one! How many times have you had to explain it to friends and neighbors? Love all the trees in your yard too. Looks like a lovely, tranquil place. Smile

Just as lovely now, Sil. [In reply to] Can't Post

Sorry I'm late to the party, but had a busy week and weekend. Finally winding down to take in all the Founder's Day posts, and yours was particularly moving. What a wonderful, strange trip it's been, and all the better because of you. Heart

It is a wonderful feeling [In reply to] Can't Post

to be surrounded with so many kindred souls. There is so much to be grateful for in this life, being right here is one of them.

You all are special to me. Thank you kel.

May the road go ever on from where it began where unlooked for friendships appear, to share all the moments that are, both the tribulations and the joys.
Thank you all.

''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III

Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted."

You know d... [In reply to] Can't Post

that poses an interesting possibility....Hmmm:) . Ivy if i could start it would be beautiful i think. Up and over the top.

I had that dark green ivy on the front of the house being yellow and i really loved it, but it was working itself into and was prying apart the siding and window seams. So sadly i had to take it off.

*add ivy to HD list*
Thanks:)
