Greetings and salutations, my dear TORnadoes, and welcome to the 14th Celebration of the Founding of TORn! Back at the tenth anniversary preparations, the party conspirators deemed it necessary to produce a history of the founders and founding of TORn. Here is what we came up with, as it was posted on the Home page that day. Happy Founders' Day! http://www.theonering.net/...he-founders-of-torn/

I am SMAUG! I kill when I wish! I am strong, strong, STRONG! My armor is like tenfold shields! My teeth like swords! My claws, spears! The shock of my tail, a thunderbolt! My wings, a hurricane! And my breath, death!

Was a great read and a wonderful 10th anniversary tribute, excellently written! Makes me wonder though - Who is this versions Melkor?
And Iluvatar spoke to Ulmo, and said: 'Seest thou not how here in this little realm in the Deeps of Time Melkor hath made war upon thy province? He hath bethought him of bitter cold immoderate, and yet hath not destroyed the beauty of thy fountains, nor of my clear pools. Behold the snow, and the cunning work of frost! Melkor hath devised heats and fire without restraint, and hath not dried up thy desire nor utterly quelled the music of the sea. Behold rather the height and glory of the clouds, and the everchanging mists; and listen to the fall of rain upon the Earth! And in these clouds thou art drawn nearer to Manwe, thy friend, whom thou lovest.

It remains an awesome piece! Glad to see it!
Manwe, when asked a simple "Yes" or "No" question, contemplated, and responded "the middle one."

Thank you for everything TORn has done for Tolkien fans over the years! Without you, some of us would have been lost. Tonight, I raise my glass to you all in appreciation and fellowship! Cheers!

...we all thought it would be awesome...and we were right! And so cool that Daniel Reeve came along for the ride...your reaction to that news was as I recall, quite awesome as well. Cheers and Happy Founders Day to you A.E.!

in the depth of this creation sub-creation. I think a depth of emotion and much love is the prime mover of creativity. I would vote that this sets a benchmark for just that . That is our Alassėa Eruvande
''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." J.R.R. Tolkien
