***Founders Day Giant Quiz Thread*** Can't Post

Kick up your feet and take 5 minutes off to take part in some of these Founders Day quizzes.

Most have been designed to print out and enjoy in your own time (or share among friends and family). Just like a Giant Quiz Book, there are a number of different games, and they all relate specifically to TORn forum and it's users.

There are 7 different games to play, all in 7 different posts. Answers will be provided for all games later next week. In order:

Post 1. An easy suduko puzzle - with TORn user avatars instead of numbers

Post 2. A TORn username wordsearch - Can you find the 36 TORn members in this grid (including our four Founders)?

Post 3. A cryptogram - can you decipher this paragraph?

Post 4. A hard suduko puzzle - with TORn user avatars instead of numbers

Post 5. An "A-Z Crossword Soup" - there are no clues, so good luck!

Post 6. An anagram game - unscramble each of the clue words

Unscramble each of the clue words.
Copy the letters in the numbered cells to other cells with the same number.

Post 7. Riddle logic game - chaos on TORn!

Enjoy!

Happy celebrating!

Link.

Usual rules for a normal Sudoku puzzle, but with TORn user avatars. Either swap the avatars for numbers, or print it out and stick avatar in their squares.

Have fun!

Post 5. "A-Z Crossword Soup" [In reply to] Can't Post

There are no clues to the answers in this crossword, so looking at who's online and the user directory will give you a big advantage.

Hint: All these users have something in common, and it has to do with the A-Z of the game. Extra points if you can guess what links these 26 people together.

More hints can be given. Figuring out "V" should be your first step.

Unscramble each of the clue words. Copy the letters in the numbered cells to other cells with the same number.

If you've unscrabbled the words correctly, it should spell out something we are all familiar with.

Great game for children!

Post 7. Riddle logic game [In reply to] Can't Post

TORn is in chaos! In all the excitement of Founders Day some of the weekly threads have been posted by the wrong users, in the wrong boards, and on the wrong days! Can you figure out which user posted which weekly thread in which board, on which day, and which admin moved it?

1. Entmaiden didn't move Lily Fairbairn's thread. Entmaiden also had nothing to do with the thread posted in Off Topic and the "Hobbit Headlines of the Week" thread.

2. The thread posted by deej wasn't moved by Silverlode or Altaira. The thread posted in Main wasn't the weekly "Silmarillion discussion".

3. "What movies did you watch this weekend?" was posted on a Friday by Lily Fairbairn, but it wasn't moved by Silverlode. DanielLB's led this weeks "Founders Day Reading discussion", but he didn't post it on tuesday. It wasn't moved by Ataahua either.

4. noWizardme's thread was moved by dernwyn, but it wasn't posted in Off Topic. Ataahua did not move the Feedback or "SCOD Discussion" thread, but she did move the thread posted on tuesday.

5. "What movies did you watch this weekend?" was not posted on the Hobbit board, but the thread that was posted on this board, was posted on thursday.

6. DanielLB's thread was not moved by entmaiden. One Ringer posted his thread in the Gaming and Collecting board, but this wasn't posted on monday.

Now this is what I call a party gift! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love word puzzles so printed those out and will enjoy them over the next week or so -- I am sure I will be PMing you for help if this is off the boards when I get to some of them!

You won't be hearing from me on the Suduko ones though -- AIEE! Math has come! I was too afraid to open those!

THANKS for the fun today and all the time you put into these and your other posts. Very nice addition to the celebration! Happy Founders Day to you!

Crytogram anwer [In reply to] Can't Post

The cryptogram is the first line of the Valaquenta of TORn

"In the beginning Eru, the One, who in the Elvish tongue is named Iluvatar, made the geeks of his thought; and they made a great technology before him".

Please find attached answers to the crossword.

All TORn members in the crossword have are the highest posting for that letter. For instance, Magpie has the highest post count for all users beginning with M.
