Surprise? LOL! I wonder how many folks are flying to NZ, just to visit Hobbiton! Cool

I'm hoping to go i a couple of years. To celebrating turning 45. ^_^ There are some tours of the filming areas, so I plan to look into that.

I feel really inspired to visit NZ this year... [In reply to] Can't Post

Can't, of course, as it's too far, but if I DID I'd be interested in swimming, horse riding, trying to see if there are cool bars in Wellington and possibly taking pictures of myself and my girlfriend in cosplay on location. Cool But I'd combine it with a round-trip to Tokyo, too. As I guess I'd only be on that side of the world once in my life...

My sister [In reply to] Can't Post

wants to move to New Zealand, build a hobbit hole (with electricity), and have a sheep farm. Every time we get into a fight, she always says,"You are not going to visit me in New Zealand!" Laugh (We always forgive each other of course.)

I was lucky somewhat [In reply to] Can't Post

I studied abroad in Wellington in 2008 and it was kind of at the peak lull in Middle-Earth fandom so to speak. I got to visit a handful of locations, but everything was calm. It's a beautiful country and I hope to return there again (probably after all the hobbit hoola has died down).
