Best way to sell massive LOTR collection? Can't Post

Hey everyone,

I am new to this forum, but a long time fan of the films and books. I am asking serious advice, but also inquiring for interest among collectors on the forum here.

I have a massive LOTR action figure collection, spanning the entire series, nearly in its entirety from 2001 through the final "Orc lieutenant" wave, including many gift sets and rare items like helms deep gimli (AFA graded). As we all know these figures and packaging are fairly big.

I wish to sell it and I would prefer to sell it to a serious fan and collector directly rather than eBay or other online sites for the obvious reasons.

What I am asking the forum is ... What do you recommend as the best way to go about doing it?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. As a noob to the forum I will completely understand mistrust but I can back up my legitimacy as needed.

Thx

Hmmm [In reply to] Can't Post

Other than eBay and Amazon, I do not know. If you want to sell in person, you and the buyer would have to find a meeting place to make the transaction. I have a lot of the figures as well, and understand that the packaging is pretty big. I'd say the easiest way to sell them would be to split the collection in half or thirds and sell each half/third on eBay, and package them in a large box.

thanks! [In reply to] Can't Post

I know, I might just split them up by wave and sell them in smaller groups of 4-8 at a time on ebay.

My auctions on ebay [In reply to] Can't Post

I have begin listing my collection on ebay. I am breaking them down generally by waves, starting from the green moon packaging through the red and then blue moon packaging. I will follow up this weekend by listing the smaller trilogy packaging by wave through the epic trilogy waves, and finishing up with the collector sets and larger stuff. I have excellent feedback and priced these things to sell. My motive is to get them out of the house and reclaim my $ spent.

So far here they are:
