1. What did you think of the setting of the "Forbidden Pool"?

I thought the movie well in accord with my imagination..prompted from the text.

2. Did you think the treatment of Gollum by the Ithilien Rangers in the second image was justified?

Yes. I do. Faramir and his guard perceived Gollum as a villain and treated him as so..in the text and in the movie.

3. What do you think of the contrast in mood between the two images?

I agree that there is contrast and yet...find some similarities.

Just one similarity...for now..in hopes of others sharing more.

Gollum...just being Gollum.
Content as best he could be. Catching and eating a fish.

Also...I find similarity in the "pity" felt for Gollum.

Said Faramir to Frodo...Should we spare him?..And Why?..Speak now Frodo...before the arrow is released.
