The worst is... [In reply to] Can't Post

46) When you're already showing signs of 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, and you've only been on these boards for three months.
47) When you reread your post five times to check if you haven't made mistakes in Tolkien lore.
48) When you're so indecisive of your signature, that you spend hours thinking of a new one and keep the old one. (Similar to 18)
39) When you actually give a reason for editing your post.

"Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards because a refusal often offends." - Terry Pratchett

Numbers 50-55 (I think) [In reply to] Can't Post

- You know how to pronounce Draupne

- The names Reverend and Balin make you choke up a bit

- You know the right time to glug, and do so more than twice a day

- You know which posters are married to which other posters

- Because, you know, pants

- When someone posts a rant about posts "falling off the board" in Feedback, you link to your previous replies on the topic

Some more signs.... [In reply to] Can't Post

56. When there is only ever 1 new post once logging on.
57. When you re-use a joke on here in front of your friends and family.
58. When you get stalked by users via PMs.
59. When you cringe at very old posts you made years ago.
60. When you've read through the entire thread, agree with every post, realize you have nothing new to add ... and post a reply anyway!

*mods up* some more! [In reply to] Can't Post

61. When you associate fridays with fiestas.
62. When you argue with friends that a book must be good because it was recommended by someone at Torn (and they look at you in puzzlement!)
63. When you use Torn expressions in RL and wonder why no-one else knows them - mods up being an example!
64. When you imagine that avatar pictures are really the picture of the person posting!!
65. When you wish RL had admins to sort out RL trolls!!
66. When you really hope that even though you have dutifully scanned threads that you are not reposting an earlier post made by another poster and have to shuffle into feedback to ask for your post to be removed/hang your head in shame as other posters hmpff or glug!! ( fingers crossed I haven't committed 66 with these suggestions!!)

I had a strange sense of deja vu whilst reading some of these points [In reply to] Can't Post

I, too, spend far too much time on here, even though I don't always make that many posts I still have a good nose at everyone else's topics!

But then...you have to love this forum, really. No other site has so many devoted Tolkien fans, people like you and me, sharing and discussing ideas all hours of the day (and night depending on where you live). Plus 99.999999% of them appear to be genuinely nice and friendly people.

So...what's not to like?

67. Thorin's Hair [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm still trying to decide if this is a good or bad thing!?

6. also. I've had dreams about those little gold rings at the top of the page.

And I want to know how you pronounce "//". Because I'd love to do that in real life.

My daughter sees me at the computer and says, "What's the haps on TORn?" :-)

7. When you prefer people to call you by your username, rather than your real name.
8. When you can't help but check whether a posted picture incurs the TORn guidelines.

14. When your browser homepage is set to the forum.

18. When you spend hours trying to find a new avatar, only to keep the one you already have.
19. When you make your own thread and refresh every 10 seconds to check if anyone has replied.

26. When 97% of these notifications are replies from me!

28. When the only reason you have a Photobucket account is to post photos on TORn.
