'Summoning the Horses of Rohan' by Judy King-Rieniets Can't Post

One of the best birthday presents I ever got was this framed print of Gandalf and Shadowfax. I think it's the most beautiful thing, so I wanted to share. Let's see if it comes through...

Judy... [In reply to] Can't Post

I saw a poster of her art in a magazine back in 1978. It was a series of scenes from LOTR. I had been given the books, but had not read them yet. I asked some friends, "who's this blond guy with the bow???"

I read the books, continued to love the "blond guy with the bow", and Judy's art. Met her once at a gallery; her style is delicate and elegant and detailed, and she does beautiful and accurate horses.

On that poster is a great little vignette of Glorfindel on Asfaloth when he meets Strider and the Hobbits on the road to Rivendell.

Go outside and play...
