You're buying my copy this time, right Owain? ;) [In reply to] Can't Post

I got a note from Amazon about it, if I can dig it up...

Looks cool... [In reply to] Can't Post

When i was trying to learn the dwarves' names by sight, this is the image i used (from the scroll), so that i could spot them at a distance.

I also got a FB alert from a Tolkien news site (Middle-earth Network) that an "epic" announcement concerning the LotR trilogy was coming within the next couple of hours. Hmmm...

The 'epic' announcement was already made... [In reply to] Can't Post

Turns out the "epic" announcement [In reply to] Can't Post

was for a Lord of the Rings Film Festival, where they'll show the trilogy and serve food and wine and i'm sure have guest speakers and conferences and the like. They'll be in L.A., London, Syndey and Wellington. All the info's over at Middle-earth Network. I don't know how "epic" that is, but it does sound kinda cool, if you're lucky enough to be near one of those cities.

EDIT: Beat me to it!

Amazon opened their pre-order to day [In reply to] Can't Post

For delivery on the release day, I believe. No poster, but it is cheaper. I went ahead and got my 3D Blu-ray, because I want nothing more than to own a dozen different formats of TH (just like I do with LOTR). God help me if they come out with a package that has some kind of Stone Giant book ends or something. I'm running out of room.

I just took a sidetrip through the Hobbit shop and Amazon for the film... and new "figureheads" for the next "land ship" (dashboard Dwarves, doesn't everybody need those???)

thanks... I think... I am now much poorer...

but I will have Fili and Kili on my dash... if I can afford the van...

Go outside and play...
