On a side note, can one make a LOTR audio book without arranging rights? Do you suppose these folks have done that (I have a hard time believing it), and what happens to money one contributes to a project like this if is turns out not to have jumped through all the legal hoops.
That's more my idle wondering. I don't know that I'm going to get answers, necessarily.
