I just wanted to b.u.m.p. the latest entry in the most recent Caption Contest thread, which has been pushed back off the first page. Just in case anybody's been looking for it, here is the collaborative parody a few of us got started. I had fun with that one! Thanks Stormcrow for originating that thread, and thanks everybody who contributed!

That's hilarious -- thanks for putting that all together into one full poem (and finishing it off!).

Glad you enjoyed it Ro! There should be more like it, I'd say! What'll be next--You Are Old, Uncle(Cousin) Bilbo? Twinkle Twinkle Evil Bat? The Balrog and the Conjurer (The Walrus and the Carpenter)? (in best Jim Carrey voice:) Somebody START me!

Great job, Ruxendil and Company! I cannot deny that my interest is piqued by "The Balrog and the Conjurer."

If I may speak for us all, we missed you in putting in your part in it. Thanks for your added verse! And maybe next time you'll join in the making, like if we do, say, You're a Troll, brother William as a possibility.

'You're a troll, brother William,' the young dwarf said, 'And quite long advanced is the night; And yet you are searching for nice sandwich bread - Do you think that it's wise in this light?' Feel free to join in!

First Arandiel's bit, then mine in bold: 'You're a troll, brother William,' the young dwarf said, 'And quite long advanced is the night; And yet you are searching for nice sandwich bread - Do you think that it's wise in this light?' "In a stew," muttered Bill, while Tom and Bert licked their chops, "We hope Dwarf will ease hunger pains; And once we know perfectly how to cook one, Why, we'll eat 'em again and again!" Next...?

Ok Ok that was just a "draft". Let'z try this again. First Arandiel's bit, then mine, revised, in bold: 'You're a troll, brother William,' the young dwarf said 'And quite long advanced is the night; And yet you are searching for nice sandwich bread - Do you think that it's wise in this light?' "In a stew," muttered Bill, while Tom and Bert looked, "We hope Dwarf will ease hunger pains; And once we know perfectly how it is cooked, Why, we'll eat 'em again and again!" Ok better. Next...?
