I think it would be a tough match, but Kilgaro would win in the end. I think that because although Smaug has the advantage of being more ferocious and fiercer, Kilgaro can use magic which would give him the advantage. Of course, Merlin might just call the dragon and the dragon would have to fly to Merlin while Smaug just attacks him and gets a cheap shot. But all kidding aside, I think Kilgaro wins because of his magic advantage.
