It's really baffling how they handle the launch [In reply to] Can't Post

It's like amateurs are running the business.

Maybe they changed the release date [In reply to] Can't Post

And are going to keep it in theaters longer. In my town it is still showing in every major theater twice a day, including high frame.

Change of mind [In reply to] Can't Post

Maybe, based on recent BO numbers, they felt that they could make some more $$$ before the DVD release and therefore, they will keep the film for a few more weeks in theaters.

Merry: What? That was just a detour, a shortcut.

Still lots of showings where I am [In reply to] Can't Post

But I live in a major metropolitan area, with a lot of multi-multi plex theaters. However, it is getting harder to see it at a normal time of day.

Release [In reply to] Can't Post

More than excited for the release. I have seen dates for March and April both. excited to watch it repeatedly at home and to share with my students when we read the book.

I think March 19 is still the date [In reply to] Can't Post

But I think WB didn't wanna announce it this early, so they pulled it. Why else was there no followup on the DVD cover? They'll stick with March 19, I think, but just wait till middle of February to announce it.

It's still showing several times a day here. [In reply to] Can't Post

More HFR 3D showings than 2D ones.

Exactly. [In reply to] Can't Post

If people know it's coming out on DVD in the next few weeks, they won't bother seeing it in theaters in its last days of running, so they're probably trying to squeeze a little more out of its theatrical run.

Makes sense [In reply to] Can't Post

The 200 person theater I was in this past Saturday was 80-85% full so there is still people coming in and I'd say several of them were new folks who hadn't seen it yet. So pushing it back or holding off makes sense.
