Prayers needed

Okay fellow Ringers, I need a little help here. My Grandma who has been with me all my life and who taught me to read and cook, embroidery and pretty much everything else I love to do, has been in the hospital and now the nursing home since Monday and they say she had a major stroke. She has listened to all my million hour long conversations about LotR and has been there for me in every aspect of my life. If you can pray for her and lend her your strength it would mean so much to me and my family. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart and May the Grace of the Valar protect you and God Bless! Namarie, RangerLady23

Grandmas are irreplaceable in a different way from Moms. They get to do the fun stuff without the discipline, and sometimes they have more in common with you than your parents regarding certain things. Let us know how things go.

were both rather puzzled by my LOTR obsession, they were both absolute treasures--their letters (I saved almost all of them) and my memories of times together and so many conversations still have a huge influence on my life. Prayers for the best possible outcome, and peace for you and your family, Ethel, D.

We lost our grandpa just before this Christmas past. He was 91 and pretty healthy up to the end. My gramma however died far too young, almost 20 years ago, and I miss her. I have prayed for you and your grandma... your relationship with each other sounds like it has been quite a blessing for both of you.

Is she conscious? If not, do talk to her anyway, she'll very likely hear you and feel comforted. She sounds an absolute darling and I hope she'll recover. Do keep us posted!

For you and your Grandmother. God bless you!

All of your posts meant so much to me and my family and I thank you sooo much for your support and understanding. The hard part to report dear fellow Ringers is that on Friday January 18th my beloved grandma took the last grey ship and ventured to that place beyond the sea where I cannot go. The gray rain curtain of this world rolled back and I hope she saw those White Shores and beyond to a far green country under a swift sunrise. I cannot believe I will never see her again or talk to hear about our many shared interests. My only consolation is that it was not a hard death and she was at peace at the end and she is with her beloved family again somewhere and I will join her one day. I hope she will tell Professor Tolkien for all of us how much he means to the world. Again your prayers meant and still mean everything as we go through this painful journey. Strength to us all--RangerLady
