Legolas and Bard Can't Post

Now we have this picture of Legolas and Bard together.

Don't you fear that after the dwarves escape Thranduil's halls a small party of elves lead by Legolas is sent to chase them.
They arrive at Laketown just before Smaug's attack.
We then have an scene of archery contest between Legolas and Bard where they jump on the dragon and make skateboard on his wings before the coup de grace ?

PJ please no.

Not likely [In reply to] Can't Post

The pic is from TABA, so it'll probably be when the men, elves, and dwarves team up for the BO5A.

I'm worried that... [In reply to] Can't Post

They might make Bard out to be Legolas' half-brother...

In the book [In reply to] Can't Post

there are some wood elves in Laketown when the dwarves are there. I'd say it's odds on this will be Legolas and Tauriel.

However, there is quite a time period between the dwarves leaving Laketown and Smaug attacking. I don't understand how they could explain the elves still being there for Smaug's attack.

Elves may maintain a permanent trading post in Laketown.

Thanks, Imladris18! [In reply to] Can't Post

Now that I see the photo, my guess would be that this is a scene that would appear in Movie 3. I would expect Legolas to accompany his father to Erebor after the dragon's death,. and this looks like it could be a scene that takes place in the Men's encampment before the Bo5A.
