Filming locations in the order of appearance Can't Post

Sat through my second viewing of The Hobbit - AUJ. Took notes this time. Thoroughly enjoyed watching again.

Placing the locations in order of appearance as first seen in the movie. My knowledge of New Zealand is quite limited, thus I ask for input from anyone with better knowledge of the landscapes we see. Some are very obvious, like Earnslaw Burn, while others not so much.

The Hobbit - Filming Locations on Google Maps.

Stone Street Studios, Stage B, Wellington, NZ We open here with Bilbo and Frodo.

Miramar Peninsula, Wellington, NZ As Bilbo tells of Erebor, we see Dale. Is it a safe guess the set on the peninsula was used for some of this?

Hobbiton, Matamata, NZ We go back to Bilbo and the Shire. This is the first we see of the refurbished set.

Ohuto Station, Okahune, NZ I am guessing from various sources this is where Bilbo catches up and joins the Company of Dwarves.

Eweburn Station, Te Anau, NZ Guessing this plays in somehow, as the ponies are still present. Don't know enough about the look of the place.

Denize Bluffs, Mangaotaki, NZ No mistaking the look of this location, and we know the abandoned farm house was built here too.

Strath Taieri, Middlemarch, NZ Guessing from the look of the rocks, this location plays into the Company of Dwaves being pursued by orcs and wargs.

Braemar Station, Tekapo, NZ Again, guessing from the look of the trees and what was seen in the video diary, this location plays in just before the Company goes toward Rivendell.

Stone Street Studios, Kong Stage, Wellington, NZ We see a set for Rivendell in the video diary in this sound stage.

Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, UK And we know Sir Christopher Lee's seens were filmed here.

Earnslaw Burn, Mount Aspiring National Park, NZ After the Company of Dwarves depart Rivendell, we see this location in three different scenes.

Whew. Close to the end. Two more movies to go.

The Hobbit
The Return of the King
