An early Happy New Year to all [In reply to] Can't Post

Wishing you all much happiness and fulfilment, and the company of loved ones.

It's been an amazing year for me, and I'm not sure that my feet have yet touched the ground. :) I'm looking forward to continuing my own small adventure in the year ahead.

Wait, it's Friday? [In reply to] Can't Post

Wow, with that break of Christmas in between and having time off, I totally lost time.

Indeed, what a year it has been!
Finished my first year of my study (a bit boring, but it took a lot of work).
And I went to New Zealand for the Hobbit premiere! That was the absolute high light of the year!

No special plans for this weekend, visiting mum and dad. Nothing planned for New Years Eve, for I have to look all fresh and young when I turn a year older on New Years Day (what a day to celebrate a birthday).

Have a wonderful time! I'm going to sip on some champagne from that amazing fountain you have!

Ginger! [In reply to] Can't Post

Happy New Year to you! ...I just woke up from me nap. I feel like me again.
St Peter's was open so they had to go there because Mountain Creek delayed opening (tomorrow) and that was out for us.
The wife (she is closer and will retrieve them) and i just got word they are pooped already. Of course i gave them a word or two about me climbing the hill all day with my American Flyer when i was their age lol.
Stay warm by the fire now Ginger and partake of a little hot cider;). May the new year hold promise.

Happy Fiesta, everyone! [In reply to] Can't Post

Just finishing some rather smooth merlot, having returned from my second viewing, with friends, of The Hobbit - well, except for the first twenty minutes or so (gnash gnash) because of traffic delays. At least we arrived in time for the Misty Mountains song - that gives me goosebumps on my goosebumps. Ah well, I'll just have to go and see it again, won't I? (and again, and again...) have a good weekend, and I hope the New Year brings some better weather for all those dealing with floods, blizzards etc etc.
Cheers, all!

Auld Lang Syne! [In reply to] Can't Post

I was just singing that a short time ago!

I missed Fiesta - was hurriedly finishing things at work at noon today, then rushed home to help the eldest pack and then get her off on the train.

Then had to prepare for a "party" this evening - a pot-luck at the home of our music director (who also gives piano and voice lessons), with the "entertainment" being each of her students performing. (I'm in her "Digital Divas" group, six gals on digital pianos, and we did an awesome Pachelbel's Canon.)

So I'll get some water for tea boiling, a cup of Earl Grey would be nice now.

And yes, what a 2012 it's been, bring on 2013! Smile

Snowboarding? [In reply to] Can't Post

Ooh, yeah, he is going to be sore, better make sure he tosses himself in a warm tub to ease those muscles up for the meet! Laugh Wish him well from me!

We got a few inches of snow Wednesday evening, made a messy and slow commute home from my Dad's, then came rain around midnight and left naught but a few snow-piles! Can one snowboard down a molehill? Tongue

Okay, I just have to say it...love AUJ as much as all three LotR movies, I've been maturely discussing the movie with my mom, Mr. Ro, neighbors, friends, etcetera, but I just have to get this off my chest...
