Nazgūl-Radagast chase? Can't Post

Is it true that the Nazgūl-Radagast chase scenes were inspired by Popeye Doyle's pursuit of the elevated train in 'The French Connection'?

A quick brawl [In reply to] Can't Post

after that he is chased, though not by the Nazgul, but by bats (they sadly moved so fast that I could say nothing about their design, same with the spiders)

I rather liked him as well [In reply to] Can't Post

The only parts I did not like were him smoking out of the ears and the rather corny resurrecting of the hedgehog (Raddy IS the necromancer!!!)
All the other parts were great and the whole cinema broke out in laughter at the Rhosgobel rabbit remark.
