if you could film the lord of the rings or the hobbit in any locations you wanted, where do you think would be best for each area?
i know new zealand is brilliant, but as a purist, id loved the shire scenes to be filmed in england, and gondor to have an more italian landscape.
rohan could have been done either on the plains of mongolia or the american great plains!
