The talking purse... [In reply to] Can't Post

... is called Warner Brothers and it told Peter Jackson to make three movies.

So yes the talking purse does have a big role in the movie. Tongue

I see a political cartoon in the making here [In reply to] Can't Post

WB is the troll. Del Toro is a hobbit trying to dip his hand into their purse. The purse says "'ere, oo are you?", and gives the money to Peter Jackson instead.

(yes, I know that's not what happened)

the scene is in! [In reply to] Can't Post

it says so in the review from collider.com

"Freeman portrays the reclusive Bilbo quite well, but comes alive as the Hobbit who remembers an even younger version of himself who was obsessed with adventure (thanks in part to an appeal from Gandalf)"

Ah, yes. (Spoilers within.) [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks - that clears up that part of my question.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey starts off with a prologue that explains a bit of backstory, much like the opening of The Fellowship of the Ring . . . This time, instead of a history lesson from Galadriel (Blanchett), we’re treated to a narration by an elder Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm). In the chronology of the overall story, this is just before his long-awaited party in the early part of Fellowship. What might be my favorite sequence of the entire film comes within the first few minutes, as Bilbo narrates over the destruction of the ancient Dwarven kingdom of Erebor by the fearsome dragon, Smaug. We also get the introduction to our secondary protagonist, the serious and driven leader of the Dwarves, Thorin Oakenshield (Armitage)."

That is so awesome! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm happy for you! I'd love to meet all of them, especially since it sounds like Ian and Andy are so nice! I'm glad to hear that the film is amazing! I look forward to it. Are you going to use Andy's "My precious" as a ringtone?

Hey! [In reply to] Can't Post

I am so glad you got to see the movie and love it!

I can't wait! I have total confidence in this movie, but I have two small questions that need answering( even though I could ask a hundred more)

First of all: what are the Nazgul-crypts?
Second of all: does the movie war of dwarves and Orcs stay true to the appendices( with throes death causing the war, the dwarves winning and azog killing nain to be killed by dain)?? This is extremeley important to know for me! Thanks in advance!!!SmileSmileSmile
