I am afraid to say too much on here...I don't want to dish out spoilers to some people on here.

I must say...I LOVE THE FELLOWSHIP
but this just took the cake! And its only the first one!!!!

Pour Gollum...you feel so much for him...there is a part where Gollum starts to cry, you see he's poor helpless and Bilbo has pity for him.

It's funny, now that I've read this, all the worries I've got after embargo lifting (if I still got any) turned to dust. After all, 9 days left Smile glad you've had a good time.

It was incredible...the screening I saw it in it was 3D 48 FPS

So sitting in the front you actually feel like you are there! It was like a Disneyride...so fun!

The lighting and cinematography was perfect and the 48 FPS was to my liking

Yeah it worked!
It had a different tone...like you could tell it was in ties with LOTR but it was its own new path if that makes sense...yes it looks real, the locations look amazing!

Gollum looks even more realistic than TTT and TROK
and Rivendell is BREATHTAKING!

Hope it's more like the first trillogy than fantastical [In reply to] Can't Post

Nice. I'm just hoping it's not overly comedic, childish, or fantastic. Especially the fight scenes, but I've heard they can be. Really wasn't too impressed with Legolas sliding down a shield in TTT or sliding down the trunk of an oliphant bigger than most houses in TRoTK. Unrealistic "cool" fight moments.

Tim: I... am an enchanter.
Arthur: By what name are you known?
Tim: There are some who call me... 'Tim'...?
Arthur: ...greetings, Tim the Enchanter.

All right! Good for you! That is great. A few queries [In reply to] Can't Post

1) Do we see more of Gandalf's effective magic than in Fellowship, in keeping with the books and

2) How severely was the dwarven history altered? Do the dwarves even win the war against The Orcs outside Moria? Is Azog still killed there? Does Thror die IN he battle, instead before it like he is supposed to (his death and desecration having caused the war), and do the dwarves abandon going back because of he presence of The Balrog, or because they just don't even win the battle against the orcs/goblins?

"Hear me, hounds of Sauron, Gandalf is here! Fly if you value your foul skins, I will shrivel you from tail to snout if you step within this circle!"

"Do not be to eager to deal out death in judgement. Even the very wise cannot see all ends."

All the orcs and goblins look amazing!

There is one main orc (like a Lurtz) that is Thorin's nemesis throughout the film...during the last scenes Thorin has this powerful moment where he walks off the burning tree and charges at him on his warg

All the orcs/goblins are badass!

Yes Dale looks like a completely new Middle-Earth!

Smaug ruining Dale is intense! chaos it reminded me of Minus Tirith when the whitchking came

At the end you see his eye at the end open before credits so epic!

How was the pace of the film? [In reply to] Can't Post

Seems some reviews have called the film bloated, while others say it's really fast and intense. How would you describe the pace and flow of the film?

"All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake to find that it was vanity; But the dreamers of day are dangerous men. That they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible."
