Just completed the story on Lego Lord of the Rings! Can't Post

Boy, I was hoping for the best Lord of the Rings game I've played. Not only was it that it was the best Lego game I've played and also the best game I've played all year! This really is something special that I think everyone should pick-up. Even if you're not a gamer, you'll have an absolute blast! 11/10!!!

Anyone else played it or wanting it for Xmas?

I've got the WII version at home, but haven't played it yet [In reply to] Can't Post

The only other Lego game I tried before was the Harry Potter one. Have to admit I didn't quite grasp the concept of that one I'm afraid. All I managed to do was run around the school and collect Lego pieces. That got boring very fast. I hope there is more to those games than that? Also, I have a very low frustration level when it comes to action/fighting games, so I don't know how much of that genre is in there. I'm more of a Sim-player. But I'll try it out one of these evenings!

Not Harry Potter... [In reply to] Can't Post

But heard it's not great. Really there's no way you'll find this boring and there are so many little secrets and mini-games, I finished the story but I'm only about 20% through the game! I was playing it on Wii too, because my PS3 is broken :( The graphics aren't so good, but everything else is the same. It's honestly one of my favourite games I've ever played. Smile

Sounds great! [In reply to] Can't Post

I've played the Star Wars and Indiana Jones lego games with my little brother. He loves them and knows much more about them than I do. I'd love to get it for him for Christmas, but he hasn't seen the films yet and I don't want to spoil anything for him. Maybe in a few years once we've read the books and he's seen the films.

It is the best game ever! [In reply to] Can't Post

It is really good. Love everything about it. I've played on it for well over 12 hours combined and I am only 49% of the way through.
If you have not got it, get it.

Me too! [In reply to] Can't Post

It took me about 20 hours to beat story mode and I've played it for 25 now!
Great game, so much to do, I'm only 52.2 percent complete! You can upgrade everything! And so much to explore! Great replay value!!!!

Has [In reply to] Can't Post

anyone forged the mithril disco light yet. It is really funny because some dialogue from characters is transformed into a fast rap. Plus the characters around you start dancing.
Best game ever!!!!

I forged it! Very funny, and useful Wink!and if you turn someone into a skeleton with the mithril skeloton sword, and make them dance with this item, you get a trophy! You even get an extended edition reference trophy when you use the ent draught on pippin! (it's called ' I've always been taller!' hillarious!

I have played some this weekend [In reply to] Can't Post

I have just entered Moria. It is a bit intimidating for me, there is so much to see and try and find and collect (I am a tiny bit bored with the having to collect silver/gold aspect). So since this is my first Lego game, I can now just speed through the story mode as fast as I wish, and will later be able to revisit each scenario to find additional treasures and such? Will I encounter the same enemies again in those levels (for example the Nazgul on Weathertop)?
I am really enjoying the game, I like that even when I "die" I don't have to start over and replay the last 15 minutes or so.

Yes [In reply to] Can't Post

Yup, you'll be able to replay the levels in story mode,( u can go back to the level and replay it with set characters and cutscenes, like what u just played,) or in free play with different characters to unlock new stuff with their abilities.
