Nice clip! Wargs looked a bit fake, or is it just the low quality?

Loved the clip! I think the Wargs looked fine probably just the quality.

So ..... [In reply to] Can't Post

Gandalf plus Radagast plus the dwarves at the start of the warg attack after Trollshaws?

So visit to the Tomb just prior to this? I wonder what the dwarves are doing whilst he is away, if so.

Or Gandalf visits the tombs [In reply to] Can't Post

Comes back to Trollshaw with Radagast?

Awful speculation - since we know Radagast can mimic the voices of animals ... It's Radagast who keeps the trolls arguing, while Gandalf breaks the stone ... Unsure

Well that was my thought for a long time. [In reply to] Can't Post

But Gandalf has his sword in the trailer footage of him exploring the tombs so I think it must take place after the Trolls.

One thought does occur that perhaps the wargs track Gandalf and Radagast back from the Tomb - which might make sense.

Perhaps what Gandy sees in the King's Tomb prompts him [In reply to] Can't Post

to return and urge Thorin seeks refuge in Rivendell?

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

This is most confusing....not sure how I feel with this possibility. Plus there was a lot of dwarves just standing around when the wargs attack.

I see (or, rather, hear) that Bofur has a Northern Irish accent. Anyone know what sort of accent his brother Bombur speaks in?

HFR? [In reply to] Can't Post

It does look a little too jerky like an HD TV and unfortunately, kind of fake. I'm hoping Jackson knows what he's doing with the HFR. Doesn't seem to have the same moody atmosphere that helped make LOTR great, when everything is so clean and crisp.

I don't have any worry about [In reply to] Can't Post

Thinking it it looks fake, though I don't agree. It's the leap to HFR. It was also shot in 3D, on RED cameras, at 4/5k resolution and is being shown on YouTube, having been recorded on a camera from a TV broadcast.

To isolate the cause of any particular visual feature of how that clip looks, it seems to me, would be a very complex process which requires a good deal of technical knowledge.

Instead we have a bit of thunder causes sour milk.

But in the book [In reply to] Can't Post

Doesn´t Gandalf meets Radagast in his departure before the trolls? So they put them togeter, for me is like following the book anyway .
The other different point is that thing of the wargs, so I don´t know where they cae up from but it seems that Radagast is away because he left Mirkwood because of the influence of the Necro and from there he was haunted

I dont know I´m confused, but what confuses me more is why is not Rady at Withe Councyl since he is being pursued by wargs?

That's on location, not in a studio [In reply to] Can't Post

From one of Quint's location reports:

Quote
Orcrist is a long, flat blade and they filmed a scene of Richard Armitage swinging it down in a wide arc striking down a leaping evil thing to be added in digitally before all is said and done.

Or he simply returns to Rhosgobel.

Radagast wasn't in the book, neither were the Wargs before the Misty Mountains.
