Was Guillermo del Toro invited to the premiere? Can't Post

I haven't seen any pics of him there. I hope he was at least invited.

Don't know [In reply to] Can't Post

I hope he was too and I bet that he was. I mean, James Cameron was, why would GDT be?

He probably was.. [In reply to] Can't Post

...but hes extremely busy finishing Pacific Rim at the moment so that could be the reason why he didn't go.

Thanks gar-mogoth [In reply to] Can't Post

I had a completely unfounded worry that GDT would've been erased. Not that I expected him to, or PJ to have. Hence the unfoundedness of my concern. Wink

Cameron lives in New Zealand now, though [In reply to] Can't Post

He's bought up a huge parcel of land down there (can't remember off the top of my head where it is) that's not too far from Miramar (by chopper anyways, apparently Cameron gets around by helicopter). Supposedly it's in preparation for the production on his Avatar sequels. For all intents and purposes, he's PJ's very distant neighbor.

del Toro lives in the States. Plus, I'm sure Warners wanted him to continue working on Pacific Rim. That, and they probably want to avoid any interviews where he'd be asked what it was like to NOT direct the Hobbit.
