Should we expect critic reviews Can't Post

Right after the Premiere? Or is it typically a few days/weeks until we see them?

I can't stand the anticipation anymore!

thanks for the info [In reply to] Can't Post

I guess one more week or so is not too long to wait.

Some feedback from twitter will be good enough in the meantime. I just want to hear that the film is amazing!

A little biased those reactions perhaps [In reply to] Can't Post

If they give a negative review then we really have to be worried, haha.

Trusting reviews [In reply to] Can't Post

I remember when FOTR came out and I was in a van with some friends going to see it at first showing opening day. One of my friends remarked that the local paper had given it 1 1/2 stars out of four. Of course the movie was amazing and I guess the reviewer just didn't like LOTR for whatever reason. He also gave TTT and ROTK 1 1/2 stars but gave the Harry Potter films 3 or more so it can't be against fantasy.

The point is, reviews are just opinions of one person who may not like certain things that you do. Now, if almost every review you read is negative, there is probably something to be said of that, but a couple of negative reviews (and let's face it, there is bound to be SOME for The Hobbit movies) just means it didn't resonate with one person for whatever reason.

The best reviewer is you. See the movie. Judge for yourself. Enjoy the ride. I'm sure we'll have issues with some of the film's inclusions and deletions but in the end we'll mostly agree that it was a good/great/awesome movie and the little things we didn't like are nothing to the film as a whole and the things we DID enjoy far outweigh those.

Twitter [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm pretty sure folks will be tweeting straight after watching, I don't think WB would be crazy enough to actually go after anyone who breaks the embargo on twitter, especially if it's positive tweet Tongue

I'm not a big fan of critics and reviews... [In reply to] Can't Post

prior to seeing a movie for myself.

I really value other people's opinions and thoughts but I really don't want those to skew my own perception before I have a chance to observe the movie in question again... for myself.

To me, reviews should be read ONLY after you have seen a movie. That way, the experience is not tainted/embellished by what others say it is or is not.

I understand the reality of the business and that many people make their decisions on seeing a movie based on a yay or nay.

I'm not one of those people.

I despise critics so I will not read or watch any of their reviews [In reply to] Can't Post

I will watch the movies and keep my own opinion on whether I like the film and whether it was great or not. Critics tend to be negative and find the negative in things that in the opinion of others is awesome, so I do not want to hear what their reviews are.

The only thing I wish to criticize are critics themselves...
