PETA release their latest publicity stunt. Can't Post

Just released on their site and facebook page here.

So it seems they waited all this time until the weeks before the premier to air their grievances despite knowing all this information for months by the disgruntled ex-wranglers. Shameless.

The Guardian have also written a few articles on this..

"A single dream is more powerful than a thousand realities."

95% of animals 'sheltered' with PETA are killed, equals out to 37 per week.

Good news is no one takes peta seriously

Yawn [In reply to] Can't Post

They're an embarrassment to their own cause.

Let them protest. Far be it for them to actually use their time and resources to actually help animals in need. Nah. Spending money to fly to New Zealand and protest a film premiere is far more important - despite the fact that this issue was investigated and resolved months ago. Anything for an attention grab, I suppose.

As said before... if they actually really CARED they wouldn't have waited [In reply to] Can't Post

No, let me rephrase that: if the actually really believed in their own stories they wouldn't have waited.

But every word you say today
Gets twisted 'round some other way
And they'll hurt you if they think you've lied

Spoiler Alert [In reply to] Can't Post

"In a movie that features CGI dragons, ogres, and hobbits, CGI animals would have fit in perfectly."

PETA lets slip there were be not one dragon, but DRAGONS. There will be ogres as well - can't wait to see what these will look like and where they will feature in the film. And apparently we got some CGI hobbits in there. These films will be better than I thought. Tongue

In all reality I think PETA is a waste of time and money.

Laughable...didn't even notice that [In reply to] Can't Post

They have no idea of what they're talking about if they think CGI is used for hobbits Laugh

well [In reply to] Can't Post

There are cgi-hobbits, or at least one.. Bilbo will be replaced in some scènes by his digital double.

Still, Peta is just hurting their own cause

Funny on their page [In reply to] Can't Post

the amount of people boycotting the movie on hearsay. Lynch mob mentality that alienates them, preventing them having a louder voice and ultimately harming their cause, which in itself is very worthy. The fact they resort to titilating, exploitive imagery in some of their campaigns doesn't help in trying to take them seriously either. Should be a tagline. Q: how many naked or semi naked women does it take to run a successful PETA campaign.

I cannot believe PETA - what a despicable organisation.
