Exclusive HMV Poster! Can't Post

Finally got hold of one of these exclusive posters - not all HMV stores appear to be stocking any Hobbit merchanidize as yet...

It's reminiscent in style and layout of the LotR sepia-tone posters, with a rather "painterly" effect to the images. Apologies for quality of my photography!

Poster advertised as exclusive to HMV until 31st Dec 2012

I like it! [In reply to] Can't Post

It feels more official. And I know some people don't like the LOTR official posters, or the floating head business, but I do, so I'm happy.Tongue

Since it's exclusive to HMV, I doubt it is the one that will be on the DVD case. What would be nice would be if everyone was slightly smaller, so they could fit in some scenery in the background - perhaps the Misty Mountains?

Can I ask how much you paid Eleniel? I'd love to get one.

thank you [In reply to] Can't Post

i hope that is not the official poster as its just a collage of different charcater shots form previous photos. Far inferior to the lotr posters...

And double dwarves here and there... [In reply to] Can't Post

I agree. It doesn't really form a whole imo.

Maybe Bofur and Nori have twins ... ? [In reply to] Can't Post

I agree though, the poster could have been much better - especially Bilbo's face (was never really keen on that particular picture) ... otherwise, it has potential

Pretty weak, IMO [In reply to] Can't Post

More stacked/canned Dwarves as we've seen before...perhaps we'll get an official theatrical poster in early December (which I believe in when the final LotR posters debuted)?

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

I wonder why they added bofur and dori twice? [In reply to] Can't Post

Doesnt really make sense.

For me i am not a real fan of this type of poster, not much mood or feel to it, just a collection of the company.

I prefer the Bilbo with sting poster, or Gandalf in the Shire. Still for it being a HMV exclusive (does that mean they design it themselves?) it is pretty good.
