There's so much there - the opening clip of Radagast and the bird.... all the other little glimpses and hints. And it's good to see so many familiar faces in the production teams from the previous films.

At least at 9.38, Balin's got grey beard. And Thorin looks younger in both shots, as well. So it's from some kind of a prologue. We probably won't be shown any parts from "There and Back Again" until after "Desolation of Smaug" is released.

The bird with Radagast was 3D without it being shown in 3D if you guys know what i mean, lol? No, that makes sense. I've only just realised how astonishing that'll look in 3D.

i have never had any problems with 3D in the past so with all the things they are trying to do to make it a more pleasant experience for those that do, i think its going to look just incredible.

is coming along quite nicely in my humble opinion. It so far looks like classic PJ with fantastic camera sweeps and angles... I did so enjoy that sort of thing in LOTR.
-Tim came by. Tim! If you had heard only a quarter of what I have heard about him, and I have only heard very little of all there is to hear, you would be prepared for any sort of remarkable tale.

At 6:10 (I assume those are bits of Dale and Erebor (behind Thorin)). But I do have a question: The stone interior of Erebor (??) at 0:48 looks greenish. Will this ultimately become greyish or do you think it is green marble? It does look like some kind of marble. Very kingly =)

Seeing Shore and the orchestra at work was astounding. It was so beautiful. Can I just say how utterly amazed I am by the orchestra? Being able to sit down and play without ever having seen the music is a skill beyond belief. Their talent is incredible. I took piano lessons for 7 years when I was young and still play now and again, but there's no way on earth I could do what they do (of course, that's why theyre in the orchestra and not me ).

The name Fritha rings a little bell, but Percy is completely new to me. Maybe I've missed something... Their names are on a (call)sheet on 1:26. Nothing new, just the dwarves, hobbits, elves, wizards and the Necromancer.

When they show Howard doing the first score in the vlog, what track is that on the soundtrack? It's exactly like in the first trailer after they sing "Misty Mountains", and just wanted to know if anyone's discovered what it's called.

And the same amazement you describe. All music distributed in the studio and collected at the end of sessions. How much would a full Hobbit score have sold for underground?

Looks like the concept art of Thorin with more beard is that of young Thorin. Bird: "Tweet tweet tweet" Radagast: "Show me" I'm guessing the Eagles will not speak English. When Bard talks to the thrush, it will also not be as confusing to the crowd because Radagast, Gandalf, and Beorn will have done so by then.
