Hi ... anyone remember me? I was a semi-regular participant for a while about three years ago, GAFIAted due to mundane pressures, and now here I am again ... *pokes around, willing to settle for a glass of warm lemonade and perhaps some crumbling leftover cake or congealed pizza*

unless the Serenity/Firefly connection is upsetting. The more I look at Reeve's work the more impressed I am. Opens up a whole new area of interest, noticing the graphic work in films. All hail, Daniel.

made a tiny cut right where one of the grooves ended, and pulled, and it unraveled nicely. Then I got the map out nae problemo (and the puppy enjoys playing with the partially-undone tube).

Hey there, Berr! It's so nice to see you and to hear that things are going well for you. It sounds like you've found (or are close to finding) a niche that suits you perfecty. Here's hoping all the best for you and hoping to see you again at a future moot! *HUGS*

So many petals in those big ones! And, the yellow one with the red edges reminds me of roses BG used to send me all the time before we met - those were my favorite. You're lucky to get roses so early in the spring (though knowing the climate there, they probably bloom year round). Thanks for sharing them with us.

So indulge yourself! Congratulations on the weight loss! BTW, did you escape the fires OK? I remember you had fled with your family. How did that all come out? On a related note, my mom has been beside herself wondering whether her childhood neighborhood (Gravilla Street in La Jolla) was burned. I looked at some maps and I didn't think so, but I couldn't tell for sure. If you have any idea, it would be a comfort to her to find out.

I am so sorry I wasn't here Friday for the reunion. Magrat, Verence, Note Spelling and Littler Note all came down with flu. I spent pretty much the entire last week doing nothing but watching Heroes episodes, passing out juice, crackers and chicken soup and doing lots of laundry. (Also managed to proof and return book to St. Martin's by deadline, huzzah) So, hi! I miss you all! I have almost fought my way clear of monster deadlines and should have more time to play. Er, as soon as I turn in the next two books and that novella... Now off to catch up on the fiesta fun.

I've been resting with it for a couple of hours now. I still can't believe it's real. I burst into tears as soon as I opened my mailbox and saw the tube that everyone's described. I have small hands and could fit one right into the tube to coax out the map and the poster. Words seems to miss describing this by a wide shot. Resplendent. Ethereal. Magical. I can't stop shaking. Days like this are few, but most of mine have been because of Tolkien, Jackson, and TORn. I'm staggered. Thanks to all who made this possible; but most of all to Daniel Reeve who reached in and connected with us so brilliantly. *bows deeply*
