PETA will get their press coverage, and the more heated debates over it the better (for them), no?

Our board rules about language and respect includes comments directed at people and organisations outside of TORN. Please make your points without breaching our Terms of Service. As for the call to descend on another site to promote one point of view - that has been done before (long, long ago) and it came back to bite TORN's discussion boards in the rear end when the favour was returned with interest. It's worth keeping that in mind before starting a campaign on another site.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. I think Arandir thinks its beneficial for the films, while you think it's beneficial for PETA (hence my confusion). It has pros and cons for both parties. I just don't want a false damper put on something we've all been waiting for, for so long.

It's really sad this sort of thing casts a shadow on the film itself.

Let the dummies be dummies. Why would you care about their opinions? The truth, what ever it is, won't change one bit in accordance with their opinions. Just let them argue alone, they can't go on forever if you don't answer them. But if you do, they'll get more and more opportunities to keep their flame alive. Seriously, whether it's a good or a bad thing, this isn't going to sink the movie. The film is too big to take harm from anything less than.... PJ eating babies?

Seriously though, the troll count there is just too high and I have just given up. Actually I, myself, now troll people who needlessly submit PETA articles. It seems like there is no way of stopping them, so just have a laugh and the joke is on them.

Smaller scale tv series and movies can have pretty good discussions too, not to mention some actually useful info. The trolls only seek discussion boards with large audiences, and the smaller fandoms are left in peace.

I've been only browsing An Unexpected Journey board to answer questions and share/read theories but it gets really annoying sometimes, especially after this PETA thing.

Life is hard enough without us complicating it further ourselves. Leave the bad company, and instead choose to socialize with intelligent, mature and good hearted people. It makes a huge difference in your mood, and affects the way you see the world.

You always bring a level head to these things. As always, it's appreciated. As for tho whole PETA thing, I have to ask, who cares? People gladly watch movies where stuntmen and extras have ben hurt or killed. A few accidental (though admittedly unfortunate) horse deaths isn;t going to stop people from going to the Hobbit and hoping for a good time. Also, for anyone concerned that PETA might actually affect the film's performance, consider this: does anyone take PETA seriously anymore?

does anyone take PETA seriously anymore? Do you try to imply Pokemons don't have animal rights?
You always bring a level head to these things. As always, it's appreciated. Well thank you, I try my best. What has bothered me the most about this farse is how easily people believe what they're told by the media. No critical thinking whatsoever. "Someone says PJ killed ponies = PJ HAS KILLED PONIES!!!!!"
